Getting Started
Does my child need a formal autism diagnosis to receive services from Bee-Have?
No, a formal diagnosis is not required. Bee-Have will provide services to any family regardless of diagnosis—if there is a need, we help. However, if you have insurance coverage, most insurance companies require a diagnosis from a doctor or neurologist for reimbursement. Bee-Have does not diagnose, but we can conduct evaluations. A private pay (cash) option is also available for families without insurance coverage or a diagnosis.

How will I be involved in my child’s therapy?
Parent involvement is a core part of ABA therapy! Here’s how you’ll participate:
Parent Training Sessions: Your treatment plan includes dedicated parent training hours each week or month. During these sessions, your BCBA will:
- Teach you the fundamentals of ABA (the ABCs of behavior, functions of behavior, reinforcement vs. bribery)
- Show you proactive strategies to prevent challenging behaviors
- Coach you on reactive strategies for when behaviors occur
- Help you generalize skills across settings (home, community, school)
After Each Session: Your RBT provides brief feedback on what your child worked on, successes, and any challenges.
Assessment Review: After your child’s initial assessment, you’ll meet with your BCBA to review the report, discuss goals, and create a plan together.
Ongoing Communication: You’re always welcome to ask questions, share observations, and collaborate with your treatment team. Your involvement makes a significant difference in your child’s progress!
