About

Hi! My name is Amara Castro, and I have been in the field of ABA for 13 years. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (APU) and my Master’s in Child and Adolescent Development from The Chicago School of Psychology.

As a BCBA, I am passionate about staying up to date with the latest ABA research. The field is always evolving, and I strive to grow and adapt right along with it—if I could, I’d still be in school!

One of the most important aspects of my work is building trusting relationships with my clients. I truly believe that you can have all the tools to teach new skills, but without trust, you won’t get very far. I love watching children take small steps that lead to big progress as they move toward their greatest potential.

Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my husband of 11 years and our three wonderful children. I also enjoy baking sourdough bread, reading the latest books, listening to podcasts, and crafting with my daughter.
